Many APA league players have cut back on the $$$ spent on league night, ie, drinking soft drinks or water instead of beer or mixed drinks. Consequently, the bar makes less $$$ and the person serving the patrons makes less tips. These ARE the facts!

To my knowledge, the Triad APA does not have a contract with the bar owner regarding greens fees (maybe the should??? ). Having the APA league at a bar should (and I repeat should!) increase business revenues. Often the player playing out of a bar/tavern considers that establishment as his/her "home bar" and will also frequent it at other times and also spend $$$. Let's face it....the bar having pool tables available to patrons is "the hook" that brings them in....for them to spend $$$ on beer and liquor. The bar/tavern make most of their $$$ on that, NOT off the pool tables! We as pool players should say "THANKS" to the owners for having the pool tables available and allowing APA league players into their establishments!
